One of the few good news this weird year ;) My photoshooting with Dawid Hemke and Werema Anastazja in projects of Wioletta Podsiadlik has been chosen for the cover of "MOB" Journal in November 2020. Enjoy! The original edition here: "MOB" Journal
Just today I should have come back, probably happy and satisfied, from the photo meeting I organized in Porto, Portugal. With a suitcase full of exposed films. With a head full of sunny memories. It would be so. If this world were like a year ago. Unfortunately, we had to close our dreams and plans in the deepest box. Complaints aside. I also have great memories from this session. Also at the seaside. Maybe not as warm as in Portugal, but just as beautiful. The Baltic Sea has
One of the positive sides of photography is that you can meet wonderful people. I appreciate specially this year the opportunity to meet someone new, talk to him / her, when everyone was drastically locked at home, depriving any social contacts. I'm more sad and melancholic than before. Somewhere I lost the joy of living and creating. Thanks God that there are people who can destroy this impression and give me a passion for creation again. Creating with Dehadria was a pleasan
Sometimes it's simply easy to take photos of a model ;) I think, we understand each other, what we both need, what are our strengths and weaknesses.
What I intended to do during this photo shooting was extremely difficult. Especially beacuse of the moving chair and a broken lens... Graflex SG + Kodak Aero Ektar 178 mm + Fomapan 400 home developped in ID-11
More and more sad... I just found out that I'll not go to Portugal for my dream session. Flights were canceled due to the pandemic :( I took so few photos this year. I can't be full of optimism and joy. There is less and less desire to pick up the camera. Thank God, the photos do themselves when I come across such a diligent, wonderful, passionate and committed model like Julia :)
This is a very long time, I couldn't take photos and publish some new works of mine... Actually, I'm not in the mood to write more about this very strange and difficult time. Maybe in few days or weeks I'll sit down and write more. It was totally weird to take photos after a six-months breake. Something has changed. These photos were taken during a photographer meeting "Cyfrowa Klisza" in Poland. I took very few photos.
First results. About music. model: Magda
It's a very sad time for everybody. Almost nobody can work, travel, meet other people or take photos, especially of others. I've never had such a long break in photography. Five months is eternity for me. That's why I'm so happy, that I've already organized my darkroom and started to print the photos, that I can still do at least something with photography. I tried some different techniques of contact printing like Vandyke, Cyanotype, bichromate gum and silver print. Definite
Yesterday I got the results of the 6th Fine Art Photography Awards, one of the most important intarnational photography competitions world wide. My social project "Native Stranger" got the 3rd place in "People" category. A few portraits and fine art nudes - the nomenees in each category: "Portrait" and "Nude". Congrats for all winners and nomenees! FAPA Awards Portrait nomenee Portrait nomenee Nudes nomenee Nudes nomenee
Funny story ... After developing all the negatives from my session on Corfu in October, I realized that something got wrong. I remembered the frames I did with Angela and the hudge hat and ... suddenly it turned out that they were gone. Well, analogs magic, I thought. I probably wound up the film badly and did not expose those frames, or I just lost the film somewhere in all this mess. In January I did a editorial session for Kaltblut Magazine in Berlin. After returning, I to

In January I was invited to Berlin by an excellent Polish designer, Charlie Mintson, to make an editorial for the German fashion and art magazine "Kaltblut". I was in a moment of dilemma and discouragement. I felt pigeonhole and that I stood still. This proposal fell from heaven. I have always loved high fashion. Actually, I started with such photos, strongly inspired by Paolo Roversi. Unfortunately, to take such photos you need constant contact with stylists or designers wit
A few months ago I was asked by a great sculptur, Kate Lipecky, to take a very natural, documental photos of her. I loved this idea at sight! First, I like to shoot the reality from time to time, not only my fantasy. Secondly, I'm an enemy of the overusing the Photoshop and every kind of beauty filters, escpecially by the portraits of women. Have you ever seen a male portrait with a totaly photoshoped face, without any inperfections or wrinkels? Everybody'd laugh to death. Wh
I'm pleased to announce that the project "Native Stranger" took the 2nd place among submitted applications of non-professional photographers in the "People / other" category of the international competition Neutral Density Photography 2019 based in London. https://ndawards.net/winners-gallery/nd-awards-2019/non-professional/other/734/silver-award?fbclid=IwAR1TxSzPYsViFcCZRQjQOH86KncTaEC-DmCc-5OG0kE-jdRaZKyTC7S3pQU I'm asked why I submit my photos to the category of non-profes
My next photo shooting from Corfu.
The island looks like a paradise on Earth: everywere green old olive trees, flowers, the lazur water in the see, birdsong, cheerful and friendly residents, the smell of rosemary, lavender and sage... I feel calm and inspired there. It could be the eternal garden. Eve could walk in there. model: Magdalena Bielecka Mentor Studio + medical xray home developed in Rodinol.
I don't know if I was affected by the Corfu sun or the unique beauty of Ksenia, but I almost did a beauty session: D
But... must photography always be deadly serious and deadly artistic?
Well, it can't be hidden that my serious, melancholic and pessimistic mood left me that day ;) model: Ksenija Hlava style: me

My third shooting with amazing Angela and for the second time on Corfu. I think that this time I was able to take some nice photos. Our session almost ended tragically, but it's better to remember happy moments ;)
My daughter Agata told me once about the big hat. When I saw the pictures on the internet, I knew that I had to have it and that it would perfectly match the session with Angela.
I took photos mainly with pentax 67, which Adam Spoz lent me for testing :*
I have always dreamed of taking pictures on my own from the beginning to the end. From pressing the shutter button to the finished print. Unfortunately, the availability of enlargers for 4x5' format and more is very limited nowadays. Farther, the price of such enlargers is inadequate to meet the needs.
So I started looking for information about old traditional printing techniques - known as contact prints. It is amazing how many are the possibilities of the contact printing,
In 2018 I took a break in photo competitions. I felt that last year was not the best for me in terms of photography. Actually, this year I thought similarly: D but something seduced me to send some photos for the IPA (International Photography Awards). Sometimes I feel that I owe it to my models who give so much.
All the more pleasing because some of my photos have been appreciated :)
